“Cerustop” Filters to protect hearing aids with the receiver-in- canal (RIC) from earwax getting inside hearing aids.
Ear wax is often described as the hearing aid's worst enemy and problematic to a hearing aid’s ability to fully function. Sometimes ear wax can harden and block the ear canal, from which the sound propagates, making it harder for the sound to reach the eardrum. Since some people are prone to produce the ear wax more than others, it is recommended to check the wax filter daily. If you notice that your hearing aid sounds weak or the ear wax is visible on the filter, it is time to replace the wax filter.
